Jeff Davis County in the Davis Mountains of west Texas, the Hay stack mountains rise in the distance behind layers of mountain ridges, clear blue sky. Near historic and scenic Fort Davis, Texas, Marfa, TX, and the McDonald Observatory of the University of Texas.
The Davis Mountains host a wide variety of flora and fauna. With historic Fort Davis, McDonald Observatory, and the Hobby Eberly Telescope there is much to see and do in the area.

"As one travels west on I-10 or I-20, out of the vast desert, on the horizon, slowly rises the purple mass of the Davis Mountains, the largest mountain chain entirely within Texas. Elevations range from 3,500 to 8,000 feet as they rise above the Chihuahuan desert. The mild climate and volcanic soils support a most biologically diverse selection of mountain flora and fauna.
The mountains receive more rain than the surrounding Trans-Pecos area and therefore have vegetation not found...
As an artist, I strive to capture the many wonders in nature. I have been honored to win many awards over the decades most often for my wildlife photography. I try and capture the beauty I see around me. I hope my photos allow you to recall the wonderful things that exist despite the tragedies we each may face. Just make it to another sunrise! Sunrises are signs of hope, when things are at their darkest there it is to bring hope. Enjoy nature and wildlife through the images I capture. Mule deer and whitetail deer are some of the creatures I enjoy studying and photographing. Beautiful mountains and canyons also catch the attention of my camera. As you look at my photos you will see a price for a picture. If you click on...
